Queensland Police have launched a public appeal for witnesses to the indecent assault of a ten year old girl at the Upper Mount Gravatt Shopping Centre in southern Brisbane earlier this week.
Detectives say a man followed the young girl into three stores at the centre between 5pm and 5.15pm on February 5, and touched her "inappropriately" on the bottom.
A woman also complained to police about being inappropriately touched by a man on the same day at around 5.30pm.
Police are urging a man whose image was captured on security video to come forward.
"(We) believe he may be able to assist with the investigation," a spokesperson said in a statement.
"The man is described as being Caucasian, 175cm with a heavy build and greying hair."
"Police urge anyone with information about these incidents or the identity of the man to come forward and contact investigating police at the Upper Mount Gravatt Child Protection Investigation Unit."
