A man suspected of holding up a tavern on the New South Wales south coast last year has been arrested in Goulburn.
The 38 year old Newtown man was taken into custody yesterday and interviewed about the Wollongong armed robbery before being charged with robbery and break and enter offences.
He has been refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on March 19.
Police allege the man is one of two men who broke into a Crown Street tavern on April 15, 2007, threatening staff with a pistol and baton and tying them up before making off with a sum of cash.
The other man allegedly involved has already been charged.
